Taylor Swift – Fearless

Country music sensation Taylor Swift has already conquered in the US and is now beginning to make her mark on the UK music scene. Taylor, who is 19 and originally from Wyomissing in Pennsylvania (US), has had huge success in America with her self-titled debut album in 2006 and was topping the American Country Billboard charts with each single she released. With the recent release of her second album, Fearless, Taylor has had even more success and managed to rack up 22 weeks on the American Billboard 200, with 11 non-consecutive weeks on the number one spot. That’s pretty remarkable!
The album, which boasts an impressive 16 songs all written by the teen herself, certainly lives up to the hype and is a brilliant mix of country and pop to appeal to girls of any age. With songs such as You Belong With Me and The Way I Loved You successfully showing the pop-influenced side of the album, Tell Me Why and The Best Day keep true to Taylor’s country roots and supply us with foot-tappingly worthy beats.
I highly recommend Fearless to anyone who would like to check out this young singer-songwriter. With an increasing number of young girls looking up to celebrities as role models, I believe that Taylor is one to be admired and will continue with her reign of success for many years to come.
